I bake this flattened pearl sago more than often even if there is no party/donation at my home as I love it so much. It’s easy to do. It is often baked as a present for my friends’ donations. Baton’s presiding monk in London loves my Thargu Byin. This is now baked for him. Let’s take a look.

ဒီေနရာအေရးၾကီးပါတယ္ေနာ္။
သာကူက်ိဳတဲ႔အခါ အုန္းႏို႔ အနဲငယ္( အနံ႔ေမႊးေအာင္) ၊ ဂ်ဳံ (wheat flour)စားပြဲတင္ဇြန္း၁ဇြန္း စာေရေဖ်ာ္ျပီးထဲ႔က်ိဳပါ။ ဒါမွ အတုံးေလးမ်ားလီွးလို႔ အဆင္ေျပပါမယ္။ရန္ကုန္စေကာ့ေစ်း မွာဆိုရင္ေတာ့ ေပ်ာ့ျပဲျပဲေလးေတြကို ခပ္ျပီးဖတ္ခနဲထဲ႔ေပးတာပါ။ ဒီမွာက ဘုန္းၾကီးပြဲအတြတ္ အတုံးလွရန္လိုပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင္႔ အဲလိုထဲ႔ၾကည့္တာေအာင္ျမင္သြားပါတယ္
Boil the pearl sago with lots of water and add a tiny bit of salt. Here is an important bit coming. When you boil, add a bit of coconut cream(to get a lovely smell)and 1tbl spoon of wheat flour diluted in water into the pot. It will form a piece that can be cut as you wish. But in Scott Market’s side stall’s style, the hawker will just tear it apart from a paste like cake. So it is important to have a beautiful cut for the donations to the monks. By adding these was a success.

သာကူမ်ားပ်စ္ခဲလာျပီး အိုးမွာကပ္မေနေတာ့ဘူးဆိုရင္ မုန္႕ဖုတ္မဲ႔ ဗန္းကို ေထာပတ္ဆီသုတ္ျပီး မ်က္နာျပင္ ညိွထားပါ။အေအးခံထားလိုက္ပါ။
Once the Pearl Sago has been transformed into a pasty form and not sticking into the pot, then add them into the buttered brushed baking tray and make sure that the paste is level.

သာကူအေအးခံထားခ်ိန္မွာ က်န္ေသာအုန္းႏို႔ မ်ားကို သၾကားနဲနဲထဲ႔ ၊ဂ်ဳံ လၹက္ဇြန္း၁ဇြန္းေရေဖ်ာျပီး ခပ္ပ်စ္ပ်စ္က်ိဳပါ။ အုန္းဆီမျဖစ္သြားေအာင္သတိထားပါ။
While you cool down the pearl sago paste, boil the rest of the coconut cream with a bit of sugar, 1tea spoon of wheat flour until it becomes quite thick. Careful though that you are not cooking for coconut oil.

All these thicken paste are to be poured on top of the surface of already cooled down flattened pearl sago.

ျပီးရင္Oven ထဲ ထဲ႔ျပီး အေပၚမီးသတ္သတ္ခ်ည္း ၁၅၀ ဒီဂရီ ၁၅ မိနစ္ ထားျပီး အုန္းႏို႔ျပင္ တင္းရင္ ထုတ္ျပီး အေအးခံျပီး လီွးစိတ္စားပါ.
Then, bake it in the oven for 15 minutes with 150 C from top heat only and once the surface is a bit toughened then it is ready to cut and eat. Enjoy.
